Such a kind and well deserved portrayal of someone who was often ridiculed. I lived in New Orleans (where he was born and raised) for 20 years and can say his joie de vivre and guilelessness were characteristics that reflected the city and his history--he was genuine!
He was always inspiring and fun and it's sad that ended up being such a drain for him. Thanks for this.
It was sad. I wish I guess there could have been a middle ground.
